Feedback is key. Criticism is a major requirement for getting better. Only if lecturers know what to do better, they can improve their lectures and seminars.

Evaluation of teaching is critisised a lot.Some lecturers reckon students to be incapable of giving a valid opinion. Some think that student feedback will lead to improper changes in teaching. Why do I regard feedback as key? There are so-called blind spots in every human's self-perception. The Johari window illustrates them (see below). Feedback dicloses them.
